Step 1: Locate the condenser compartment
Can't find the condenser? Don't worry, we're here to help. The condenser is located behind a small door, often at the bottom left of your tumble dryer . Open it. The condenser may be just behind the door, or behind a plastic cover that you simply need to pull towards you to reveal the condenser.
Step 2: Remove the condenser from its compartment
Once you've found where the condenser is, turn the small fins or tabs . Then, pull the condenser towards you to release it from its compartment.
Step 3: Remove as much fluff as possible using a hoover
Using your hoover, clean the condenser compartment.
Make sure the condenser compartment is completely dry before cleaning, otherwise you risk damaging your hoover.
Step 4: Clean the inside of your condenser
Take the condenser to your shower or bath. Turn on the shower and run the water carefully all over the unit. The water should flow between the metal plates to wash away any dust that has built up there.
Step 5: Remove any fluff that remains stuck
It's possible that residues of fluff might be difficult to remove from the gaps even after rinsing with water.
To remove them, use a metal hanger to extract any trapped fluff. Don't use too much force on the aluminium to avoid damage.
Step 6: Clean the seals
Wipe the condenser seals with a sponge.
Step 7: Refit the condenser
Is your condenser dry? Perfect, you can put it back into its compartment. Push it in firmly.
Put the fins or tabs back into the locking position.
And finally, as the last step, close the plastic cover.
